Scholarship
Student applying for this Alumni Scholarship must:

Submit a completed application no later than February 15, 2005 to:

Submit a copy of ACT scores, a minimum of 18 is required. |

| 3. |
Submit one copy of high school transcript. Must include fall semester
of senior year. EKU or transferring students must also include college transcript.
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.EKU or transferring students must also include college transcript. |

| 4. |
Send two letters of recommendation with application may be from
principal, guidance counselor or teacher. |

| 5. |
On a separate sheet of paper, state your reasons for wanting to
attend Eastern Kentucky University. Include any data omitted on this form which
you feel may have a bearing on your award. (Information should be typewritten.) |

| 6. |
Must be a child of an EKU graduate. |
| |
|
| 7. |
Maintain a 2.8 cumulative GPA while on campus (Scholarship recipients
whose GPA falls below 2.8 at EKU will have one semester to bring their
GPA up to 2.8 before the student is removed from the scholarship program.) |
Scholarship applicants should be aware of the following considerations
of the selection committee:

Both in-state and out-of-state students and high school and college
students who qualify will be considered. |

| 2. |
The quality of writing contained in the student's explanation
for wanting to attend EKU will be seriously considered. |
| |
|
| 3. |
The general tone of the letters of recommendation will be scrutinized
to reflect the enthusiasm of the writer for the applicant. |

| 4. |
The applicant will be given the benefit of any discrepancy between
GPA and ACT averages. |
| |
|
| 5. |
The selection committee will not duplicate other scholarships
awarded at EKU. |
