Professor Part of Study to Determine What Motivates Burglars

The best way to find out what motivates a burglar is to simply ask.

That theory sparked a study by a team of researchers, including Eastern Kentucky University professor Dr. Kristie Blevins, who conducted surveys with hundreds of convicted offenders in three states to glean insight into intruders’ motivations and methods.

Christopher Stanfield EKU's Second Tillman Military Scholar in as Many Years

For the second consecutive year, an Eastern Kentucky University senior has been named a Tillman Military Scholar.

Christopher Stanfield, a political science major from Winchester and U.S. Army veteran, is one of 60 Tillman Military Scholars nationwide. Selected from among 1,800 applicants, he will use the $6,000 scholarship to pursue a master’s of public administration degree.

Colbert Receives National Award from AICPA

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) has announced that an Eastern Kentucky University faculty member will receive its national Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award in August.
