Manchester Campus to Host Workshop on Broadband-Fueled Economic Development

Eastern Kentucky University will host a workshop on technology-led economic development strategies.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, Aug. 6, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at EKU’s Manchester campus. It will provide participants with strategies and tools to make the most of new broadband technology coming to the region.

OSHA Center Offers Course on Evacuation and Emergency Planning

Eastern Kentucky University’s OSHA Training Institute Education Center will offer a course on evacuation and emergency planning at four of its regional campuses this fall.

The course will provide detailed information to prepare participants to develop evacuation and emergency planning that focuses on OSHA requirements for emergency action plans and fire protection plans.

EKU Concludes Best Year for Fundraising Since 2001

Eastern Kentucky University recently concluded its best year for fundraising since 2001.

Private giving for Fiscal Year 2015 totaled $4,144,457, according to Nick Perlick, vice president for development and alumni relations.
