Dozens of cultural events spotlighting the talents of Eastern Kentucky University students are scheduled during the spring semester. They include concerts, plays, dance performances and art exhibits.

Eastern Kentucky University’s Department of Art and Design will present the “Reverberations of the Civil War Juried Exhibition” in conjunction with the observance of the Civil War sesquicentennial, “Shadows of Blue and Gray: The Civil War in Kentucky.”

The Garand Collectors Association, founded by Eastern Kentucky University Art Professor Emeritus Richard Deane, who died in September, has made a $25,000 donation in his memory to the endowed art education scholarship that honors his work and legacy at EKU.
