A century and a half after the first shots of the Civil War were fired, Dr. Marshall Myers, professor of English at Eastern Kentucky University, reminds readers of the harsh realities of war, and how it affected soldier and civilian alike in his new book, “Great Civil War Stories of Kentucky.”
