First Line Supervision Certificate Program Offered in Richmond, Corbin, Manchester and Somerset

Eastern Kentucky University will offer its First Line Supervision Certificate Program with the three-day Basic Core Concepts I course on February 6, 7 and 12, in Richmond and April 11, 18 and 25 in Corbin. 

Hickox Assumes Presidency of Association for Continuing Higher Education

Dr. Charles Hickox, dean of Continuing Education and Outreach at Eastern Kentucky University, is the new president of the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE).

He had previously served one-year terms as vice president and president-elect of the association after serving three years on its board of directors.

The Kentucky Labor Cabinet’s Department of Workplace Standards and Eastern Kentucky University’s OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) have entered into a partnership that will advance their common goal of workplace safety.

Grand Opening Ceremonies Held for New EKU Campus in Somerset

Addressing a large crowd that had gathered at grand opening ceremonies for Eastern Kentucky University’s new Somerset campus, Terri Reynolds could hardly contain her excitement.

“Finally, Somerset has its first four-year, state-sponsored university,” beamed Reynolds, coordinator for the campus. “The Lake Cumberland area has long awaited this morning.”
