Dr. Dionne Smith, assistant professor in Eastern Kentucky University’s Department of Anthropology, Sociology and Social Work, is Kentucky’s 2014 Faculty Advisor of the Year, as determined by the Kentucky Academic Advising Association (KACADA).
Dr. Cynthia (Mil) Duncan will address "Why Poverty Persists in Rural America" on Friday, March 28, as part of theWelch Appalachian Social and Economic Justice Lecture Series at Eastern Kentucky University.
The event will begin at 3:30 p.m. in EKU’s Business and Technology Center Auditorium.
