Dr. Lisa Day is the new director of Women and Gender Studies at Eastern Kentucky University.

Day, an associate professor of English, has been serving as interim director since July 2011. She joined the EKU faculty in 2001 and specializes in 19th and 20th century American literature, African-Caribbean literature and gender theory.
