The Circle of Opportunity recognizes those individuals, who, through their generous annual contributions, have exhibited steadfast dedication to Eastern Kentucky University. At Eastern, historically known as the School of Opportunity, we have a strong tradition of providing deserving students with a quality education that is within their financial reach. Yet, as you are aware, state assistance to academic institutions is waning and tuition income in no way covers the actual cost to educate student.

Becoming a Leader

Membership in the Circle of Opportunity is open to all alumni and friends who contribute at least $1,000 within a fiscal year to Eastern Kentucky University.Gifts made toward membership in the Circle of Opportunity support Eastern’s Moving Forward Together capital campaign but you may also designate your gift to other campus areas. We encourage you to direct your gift in a way that is meaningful to you.

Circle of Opportunity membership may be renewed each subsequent year with a gift of $1,000 or more.

New this year, the Young Circle will now acknowledge graduates of the past five years who have contributed $500 or more annually.

• Sustain Eastern for its second century of service
• Ensure that an Eastern education remains affordable and accessible
• Allow the University to move beyond mere maintenance of programs and offerings in favor of continued progress and excellence.
