Eastern Legacy Society

Naming and Memorial Opportunities

Making a gift that qualifies for naming recognition is an ideal way to create a legacy for yourself, a loved one, or someone you would like to honor, and to have that name forever associated with Eastern Kentucky University. By working with the staff in the Office of University Advancement, you can establish a named endowed fund or make a gift to support a variety of capital needs that qualifies for naming a room or an area in one of Eastern’s facilities. Many naming opportunities exist across the campus that allow you to provide a tangible memorial for a loved one or simply honor an individual who has significantly impacted your life. Naming recommendations are submitted to the EKU Foundation Board of Directors, which in turn, forwards approved proposals to the EKU Board of Regents for their endorsement. Gift amounts required to name endowed scholarships, programs and academic positions have been approved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Additional information can be obtained by contacting the Office of University Advancement at (859)622-1583.
