Steps for Transfer Students
(International students should review the section on Steps
for International Transfer Students.)
- Fill out the online Application
Form.
- Provide official transcript(s) from the the institution(s) you have attended
-- you must have a cumulative 2.0 Grade Point Average on a 4.0 scale or
its equivalent and be eligible to return to each institution previously
attended. Transcripts must be sent directly to the EKU Admissions Office.
Students who do not meet the criteria, particularly non-traditional students,
and who have not been enrolled in a college or university for a minimum
period of two years may apply for admission under the provisions of EKU's
academic bankruptcy policy. Please contact the Office of Admissions for
information at 859-622-2106 or 800-465-9191.
- If you have completed less than 24 semester hours of college work, provide
an official copy of your high school records and ACT or SAT scores.
- Provide the $30 application fee -- This is a nonrefundable processing
fee.
Once You've Applied
- Apply for campus housing. Please answer the appropriate question on the
Application for Undergraduate Admission. A housing application will be mailed
after you have been notified of admission to the university.
All single, full-time undergraduate students under the age of 21 or having
fewer than 60 hours are required to live in university residence hall facilities.
Exception is made for students residing with their parents in the parent's
principle residence within 50 miles of the Richmond campus as determined by
an official state map. Full time students must be 21 years of age or have
completed 59 hours prior to the first day of class of any given semester to
live off campus for that semester. Students living off campus who fail to
meet either of these requirements will be assessed the lowest residence hall
fee. An additional Commuter Information form must be completed to request
the exception. Falsification of information subjects the student to applicable
fees and/or disciplinary procedures. Regardless of age, certain regulations
apply in residence halls. The university reserves the right to approve or
deny housing for those over the age of 21. (See the Housing
website for additional information.)
