Eastern Kentucky University was honored for the fourth consecutive year with a Diversity Award from Minority Access Inc. during the 14th National Role Models Conference, held in Washington, D.C. Sept. 27-29.

EKU is the only institution in the state to earn the award for four consecutive years (2010-2013). In addition to receiving accolades for its commitment to diversity, EKU was recognized as a Premier Minority Access Associate.

Dr. Sandra Moore, Associate Provost for Diversity Planning at EKU, accepted the awards on behalf of the University. Also attending the conference was Eastern public relations major Raven Draper.

The conference included a college fair that served as a recruitment opportunity for EKU. Moore and Draper returned with interest cards from approximately 50 prospective EKU students.
