Greek Life Renews Sponsorship of Apartment at Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women

Eastern Kentucky University’s Office of Greek Life, via the three governing councils, has renewed its sponsorship of a double occupancy apartment at Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women in Richmond.

On Friday, Sept. 16, members from the Interfraternity Council (IFC), Panhellenic Council (PH) and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) visited Liberty Place to drop off items for the sponsored apartment.  Members of PH and NPHC were also able to visit the apartment and have a tour of the facility, as only females are permitted beyond the living room of the facility.

“It was humbling to see how our small donation made such a huge impact on the women at Liberty Place,” said Morgan Mills, Panhellenic Council secretary.  “What a great program and facility.”

The students hope to share their experience with the EKU Greek community and continue to support Liberty Place in future endeavors.

Liberty Place is a long-term substance abuse recovery program for women. Its program provides support as well as hope for women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.

All three councils donated to support the EKU Greek Life room at Liberty Place.
