Humanities@Work Program Offers Practical Opportunities for Students
Are you majoring in philosophy, comparative humanities, English (including literature, creative writing and technical writing emphases), French or Spanish?
EKU’s College of Arts and Sciences has launched a Co-op/Internship Program uniquely tailored for you, one that will help you gain practical, “resume-worthy” work experience in a humanities-related field.
Through the Humanities@Work Program, students can gain up to three hours of co-op credit in the following fields:
· Applied ethics
· Event organization
· Copy editing
· Government services
· Human services and social justice
· And more
Students will also be able to earn anywhere from .5 to 3 graded, upper-division credit hours by working and completing the required assignments, will learn to develop a targeted resume and enhance their job-interview skills, and receive a modest stipend.
Summer co-op scholarships for .5 credit hours are available. Contact CAS@eku.edu for more information.
Eligibility requirements include: faculty coordinator approval, completion of a minimum of 30 credit hours (transfer students must complete one semester at EKU), and a minimum GPA of 2.25.
