Music Performance Major Earns 2nd Place in Regional Horn Competition

Andrew Sehmann, Richmond, a junior music performance major at Eastern Kentucky University, received second place in the 2014 Southeast Regional Horn Workshop Solo Competition, held recently at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Sehmann was one of only two soloists who advanced into the final round of the competition, which was open to undergraduate and graduate students from the 10-state region. A member of the EKU Honors program, the EKU Symphonic Winds and EKU Symphony Orchestra, Sehmann will be a concerto soloist for the final Symphony Orchestra concert of the year on May 2.
