Pianalto Named Vice President of Kentucky Philosophical Association
Dr. Matthew Pianalto, associate professor of philosophy in Eastern Kentucky University’s Department of Philosophy and Religion, has been elected vice president of the Kentucky Philosophical Association (KPA).
He will serve as vice president for 2014-15 and then as KPA president for 2015-16.
Pianalto presented his research on virtue ethics at several recent KPA meetings and serves as the Association’s webmaster.
Founded in 1961, the KPA hosts an annual conference at a different Kentucky college or university each year, as well as an annual undergraduate student essay contest and a summer research workshop.
