Publication Recognizes EKU for Contributions to Public Good
For the fifth consecutive year, Eastern Kentucky University has earned national recognition for its contribution to the public good.
EKU was honored along with 670 other public and private Master’s Universities nationwide in the 2014 Washington (DC) Monthly College Guide and Rankings. (Eastern also offers three doctoral degrees – in educational leadership and policy studies, nursing practice, and occupational therapy.)
Washington Monthly rates schools based on their contributions to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility (recruiting and graduating low-income students), research and service (encouraging students to give something back to their country).
EKU ranked 99th in ROTC programs and 259th in student community service.
