Students Invited to Join Campus Chapter Started by WEKU, Communication Dept., PRNDI

Eastern Kentucky University students are invited to participate in a pilot project sponsored by WEKU, the University’s Department of Communication and the Public Radio News Directors Inc. (PRNDI).

The project will give students the opportunity to produce public radio-style stories for WEKU and Kentucky Public Radio, thereby building resumes and portfolios, and create a semi-annual, multi-media reporting project.

Members will have access to PRNDI’s national network of experts, employment opportunities, a national student competition, and an annual conference (June 2013 in Cleveland, Ohio).

The first organizational meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 4 p.m. in Room 302 of the Combs Building.
