*The paralegal program is a partially online program. The summer before finishing their degree, students complete a one-week, on-campus program in Richmond, Kentucky, as well as an internship in the location of their choice. Through these experiences, they earn 10 hours of traditional classroom credit. While on campus, students take two upper-level courses. One focuses on research and writing. The other covers legal ethics and strategies for a successful paralegal job search. EKU is one of the few online paralegal programs that includes an on-campus experience, which is why it has the distinction of being approved by the American Bar Association.
