Instructors have two basic ways to copy course materials:
·
You can copy a whole course or any major areas into
another course. First, open the Control Panel in the "source"
course (the old one). Click Course Copy (second column, near the bottom), and
then click Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course. On the
next window, where it says "Destination Course ID:," click the Browse button,
and in the small window that opens, type your last name
into the box, click the
radio button above the box for "Instructor", and click Search.
The window will show all of the courses
in which you are the instructor. Scroll to find the entry for your "target"
course (the new one), and then scroll the window to the right until you see the
"Select"
button. Please MAKE SURE YOU ARE CHOOSING THE CORRECT LINE ON THE SCREEN! When
you click Select, you will be returned to the main window, where you can check
the boxes for what you want to copy, and then you can click Submit. That's all
you have to do! Your "new" course now contains whatever you selected to copy into
it.
·
Or you can copy any items or folders to another spot in
the same course, or into any other of your courses. In the Control Panel,
navigate to the material you want to copy, and click the Copy button (at the
right side of the window). Select the destination course from the drop-down
menu and then click the Browse button to begin selecting the destination
location. This gets a little tricky to explain: you will see a Course Map
listing all the parts of the destination course. On the course map, click the "plus
signs" to navigate inside folders. When you see the correct location,
click its radio button. Then click Submit on the course map window. This should
list the destination in the correct box on the main window. Click Submit on the
main window and it's all done. Here is a
sample display of the windows you will see, and also a closer view of the Course Map showing a radio button selection.
