The
following links allow you to download (at no cost) some programs to help you
use Blackboard.
· Java (Windows and Mac OS X)
If you have trouble connecting to the Lightweight Chat or Virtual Classroom,
visit this site and obtain the most recent Java software for your system.
· Java (Mac OS 8.6,
9.2)
If you have trouble connecting to the Lightweight Chat from Mac OS 8.6 or 9.2,
visit this site to obtain the Java software for your system.
· Adobe Reader (for
PDF files)
Download the Free Adobe Reader 7.0 with the new Accessibility features. Once you have chosen the platform and Connection Speed then check 'Download the full version of Adobe Reader' to include the accessibility features.
· PowerPoint
Viewer (Windows)
If you do not have the PowerPoint program on your Windows computer, this viewer
will allow you to display PowerPoint presentations.
· PowerPoint
Viewer (Macintosh)
If you do not have the PowerPoint program on your Macintosh computer, this
viewer will allow you to display PowerPoint presentations. [Note to Macintosh
OS X users: you must have the “Classic” environment available on your system in
order to use this program.]
