Course Section Information: Students who take GEO 100 (Regions and Nations of the World) will learn to distinguish the human and natural makeup of geographic realms; explain how geographers study regional diversity in the cultural and natural settings of the world; interpret the relationships between human social systems and environmental systems in diverse geographical settings; analyze how human activity and institutions produce changes in the landscape; interpret the spatial structures and processes that both distinguish and connect diverse world settings; and apply the concepts of geography to the analysis of global change.
