Course Title: Vulnerability & Risk Assessment
Course Section Information: CRN = 25775
Description: Principles of vulnerability and risk assessment including physical security surveys, integrated physical security systems, risk and threat identification, mitigation, threat analysis, criticality, and risk assessment. Comparison and analysis of various vulnerability and risk assessment methodologies. Students will learn how to develop, execute, and present findings from physical security surveys in an effort to identify effective countermeasure technologies for the protection of critical infrastructure.

This course, delivered entirely online, will review and assess physical protection systems, construction of physical security survey instruments, identification of physical security technologies, and overview basic vulnerability assessment and risk evaluation techniques. Students will use standardized assessment to uncover and understand potential threats/risks to people, facilities, local communities, transportation systems, the environment, and other physical and intangible critical assets.
