National Boone Day!

Did you know that frontiersman Daniel Boone first began exploring the valleys and forests known today as the Bluegrass State on this day in 1769?  Daniel Boone was born on November 2, 1734 and was an American pioneer famous for exploring Kentucky.  The #CampusBeautiful has its very own Daniel Boone statue, which has stood in front of the Keen Johnson Building since 1967, bringing good luck to students in their own explorations when they rub his golden toe.  Check out this great collection of photos, and share your own with us by following @easternkentuckyu on Instagram and using #EKU.
