Things to be Aware of Before Arriving at the Planetarium

1. If it becomes necessary to cancel your visit, please try to do so at least 3 teaching days prior to your scheduled visit. There may be other classes on a waiting list for your date and time.

2. Please arrive early so that your program may begin on time. There may be other groups scheduled to see the same program with your group, and there may be another program scheduled to immediately follow yours. WE CANNOT DELAY THE START OF A SCHEDULED PROGRAM ANY LONGER THAN 10 MINUTES. WE CANNOT ADMIT ANYONE TO THE PROGRAM AFTER THE PROGRAM BEGINS.

3. For safety reasons, students must unload and load in the circle behind the Planetarium. Buses/vans/cars can then park in the large lot next to the Planetarium, but NOT in the circle.

4. Please inform your students that they can take pictures in the Planetarium, but NO FLASH PICTURES ARE ALLOWED AFTER THE PROGRAM BEGINS. Not only does this disrupt the program, but it is a waste of film. Taking pictures with a non flash camera is all right.

5. Please collect all money from each person and have one person prepared to pay for your entire class. This greatly facilitates getting your group into the Planetarium.

6. No smoking is allowed in the building. No food, beverages, or gum are allowed beyond the main lobby.

7 . Teachers are responsible for the behavior of their group.

8. Arrangements for lunch in Quackers on the Pond Cafeteria, directly across the street from the Planetarium, can be made by contacting the cafeteria directly at 859 622-2187. You are welcome to eat lunch on the lawn outside the Planetarium as long as you clean up when finished.
