Hurricane Sandy Relief
In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Student Life will be collecting donations through Nov. 16th to support the Red Cross's response and relief efforts. These are efforts directed at immediately minimizing the hazards created by a disaster (emergency services, restoration of previous crucial services, and meeting basic needs).
Drop your donation (cash or check) of any amount (every penny helps!) off at the Office of Student Life. You can also see Brian Perry in the office to make a donation with a card.
In the coming weeks and months, we will monitor the situation as the focus shifts to recovery efforts. These are projects intended to return the community to pre-disaster norms or better (clean-up, longer-term rebuilding, community development). This is where the enthusiastic energy and willingness to help of largely unskilled volunteers can be best put to use (ie alternative breaks)!
