The deadlines for study abroad summer programs are approaching: early registration date for CCSA is Feb. 8(save $100) and the regular deadline is Feb. 22nd; the early deadline for KIIS was Jan. 20 and the regular deadline is Feb. 15. Applications are available online at www.ccsa.cc and www.kiis.org.

On Friday, February 8th, don't miss an evening of pageantry and excitement, as The Band of the Scots Guards and The Pipes, Drums, Highland Dancers of The Black Watch 3rd Battalion fill the hall with stirring anthems and the precision and grandeur of British military tradition. It will be an unforgettable performance celebrating the music of Scotland, England, Ireland, and Wales, featuring bagpipes, military marches, drum solos, Celtic dancing and more!

Student tickets to this spectacular event are ONLY $10! Hurry! Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Student tickets must be purchased in person by Friday, February 8th, before 6:00 PM. Box Office hours are 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

A previously scheduled Chautauqua lecture by Dr. Michael Dawson, John D. MacArthur Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago, on Thursday, Feb. 7, has been canceled because of the speaker’s illness.

The event, which also was to serve as the keynote address for the University’s celebration of Black History Month, has not yet been rescheduled.

The juried art exhibition at the Giles Gallery examining the “Crossroads” theme of this year’s Chautauqua series remains on display through Feb. 22, with a reception scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 31, 5-7 p.m. in the gallery.

All Giles Gallery events are free and open to the public.

This Noel Studio and EKU Libraries workshop will explain and demonstrate Zotero, a reference manager program that collects, manages, and cites sources. Zotero requires installation, so participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops; however, laptops will be available for those who do not bring a laptop.
