Are you looking for something to do for Spring Break?! University Housing has two trips to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity - Decatur, AL and Ft. Smith, AR!
The cost is ONLY $100.00 to students currently living in University Housing and only $200.00 for all other EKU students! That includes lodging, meals, and transportation, not to mention a GREAT time!
We will be working with Habitat for Humanity during the day and then checking out the sites in the afternoons/evenings. If you are interested, please contact Area Coordinator Jill Petrey at either jill.petrey@eku.edu or (859) 622-1515 to sign-up or ask questions about the trip.

A previously scheduled Chautauqua lecture by Dr. Michael Dawson, MacArthur Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago, on Thursday, Feb. 7, has been canceled because of the speaker’s illness.
The event, which was to serve as the keynote address for EKU’s celebration of Black History Month, has not been rescheduled.
The art exhibition at the Giles Gallery examining the “Crossroads” theme of this year’s Chautauqua series remains on display through Feb. 22.
All Giles Gallery events are free and open to the public.

Dr. Lee Alan Dugatkin, Distinguished University Scholar in the Department of Biology at the University of Louisville, will deliver the next Chautauqua lecture on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in O’Donnell Hall of the Student Success Building.

Come see the snow days of yore with a new display in front of Special Collections and Archives! Snow Days: EKU Across the Decades includes 16 photographs of students enjoying the snows of winters past. There are snowmen (including a snow Buddha), snowball fights, a sweet couple taking a romantic walk through the snow, and a smiling young man wearing only shorts and clutching his guitar. Enjoy this look back to the pleasures of snow on campus!
