Student Government Association elections are fast approaching. If you would like to run for a position, please attend the informational meeting Monday, March 25 at 5 p.m. in Herndon Lounge. All interested candidates MUST attend this meeting to be eligible.

The Student Government Association is hosting the annual safety walk on Tuesday, March 26th at 7pm. We will be meeting in the SGA office located in Middle Powell. The event is opened to all students interested in taking a walk around campus to point out areas that could be considered unsafe. We hope to see you come out and be a part of making our campus a safer campus!

Accounting students offer free tax help for people who make $51,000 or less and need assistance in preparing income tax returns. Students are IRS-certified to provide free basic income tax return preparation to qualified individuals on and off campus. Students will prepare federal and Kentucky tax returns, or they will serve as consultants for those who would like to prepare their own tax returns but have questions as they do so. Free e-filing. Call 211 (off-campus United Way phone line) to schedule appointment. Appointments still available for our final session on Monday, March 25, 5-8 p.m.

You will need to bring Social Security cards, picture ID, W-2s and other income doucments, last year's returns if available, and other info listed at www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=107626,00.html.

This half-day workshop originally scheduled for Saturday, March 23, 2013 has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2013.

Yak, Snack and Read will be hosting a bake sale today to raise money. Baked goods will include rice crispy treats, brownies, cookies, and cupcakes. All goods are no more than a dollar.

EKU music student Gabe Evans will present his senior piano recital on Sunday, March 24th at 5pm in the Gifford Theater. Free and open to the public.

EKU music student Brandon Stephens will perform his senior bassoon recital on Sunday, March 24th at 1pm in the Gifford Theater. Free and open to the public.

EKU music faculty Bernardo Scarambone will perform a piano recital on Friday, March 22 at 6pm in the Gifford Theater. Free and open to the public.
