Reminder:

The 2013-14 Foundation Scholarship Application is due Monday, April 1st. Please make sure that you include two signed letters of recommendation with your application to be considered for scholarships. Also, if the recommendations are from a business or from EKU, please make sure that they are on official letterhead.

Also, remember, if you will be a sophomore next fall, please print and apply for the Retention scholarship. The deadline for the application, letter of recommendation, and essay is due May 1st.

As part of First Amendment Week, political science professors Paul Foote, Matthew Howell, and Jane Rainey will lead a discussion about the Supreme Court's 1963 decision banning officially sponsored prayer and devotional Bible reading in public schools.

Topics to be discussed include what the Court majority really said and why, what the Court dissent said and why, what the critics said, subsequent school prayer rulings by the Court, and current issues involving official sponsorship of religion in public schools.

All are invited.

Come climbing trees with AP. Our Recreational Tree Climbing use arborists tools to ascend into the upper parts of the tree via ropes and knots and harnesses. This workshop takes place in the Ravine, but meets at the Fitness and Wellness Center. We'll get you going with our expert instruction.

Work on your balance while strengthening your core at the same time. Learn to walk across a 1” piece of webbing that is anchored between two trees!
