Mist Netting and Wildlife Management Workshop
This workshop, geared toward undeclared freshmen, is open to all interested students and faculty. Meet in front of Moore Science Building at 12:50 PM on Friday, Nov. 6, to carpool to EKU’s Outdoor Classroom (about five minutes away). Participants in the workshop will learn about mist netting — a technique used to catch and band songbirds —through hands on experience. Speak one-on-one with wildlife management majors and faculty about careers in wildlife conservation and the wildlife management major program at EKU. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. Wear sturdy shoes or boots. We plan to be back in front of Moore at 3 p.m.. If you have questions, or cannot attend but would like to, let us know. E-mail emily_gilbreath@eku.edu if you plan to attend, so we can have an idea of how many vehicles will be needed.
