McNair Scholars Program

The EKU McNair Scholars Program seeks motivated undergraduate students who desire to earn a scholarship while preparing for competitive graduate school achievement. McNair is a program of the US Department of Education that assists first-generation students from low-income backgrounds who aim for a doctorate. McNair welcomes all eligible applicants; but African-American, Native-American, Hispanic, Pacific Island and STEM students are strongly encouraged to apply. Participants earn a scholarship, secure PhD faulty mentors, participate in a paid summer research internship, and engage in classes and workshops that prepare them for graduate school admission. Eligible students demonstrating strong academic performance and aiming for a doctorate should apply now!
