CHAUTAUQUA: Renowned Historian and Author Dr. Catherine Clinton on Women and the Civil War
Renowned historian and author Dr. Catherine Clinton, Professor of History at Queen’s University Belfast, will present “Women and the American Civil War” on Thursday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. in O’Donnell Hall of the Student Success Building.
Clinton's presentation will serve as the Keynote Address for Women’s History Month.
An expert on US history, with specialization in women’s history, southern history, African-American history, and the American Civil War, Clinton is best known for her Mrs. Lincoln: A Life (2009) and Harriet Tubman: The Road to Freedom (2004).
Clinton’s visit on March 21 includes:
