We will have a table set up with FREE books that have their titles hidden so it's truly a blind date! Bring in an old book you may not need anymore to donate to the table and take a book from our table! You can also make a slip cover for your book to hide its title! We will also be accepting textbook donations to Better World Books, an organization that resells old textbooks to help fund literacy projects! Bringing in a textbook will also get you a FREE book. The EKU McNair Scholars Program seeks motivated undergraduate students who desire to earn a scholarship while preparing for competitive graduate school achievement. McNair is a program of the US Department of Education that assists first-generation students from low-income backgrounds who aim for a doctorate. McNair welcomes all eligible applicants; but African-American, Native-American, Hispanic, Pacific Island and STEM students are strongly encouraged to apply. Participants earn a scholarship, secure PhD faulty mentors, participate in a paid summer research internship, and engage in classes and workshops that prepare them for graduate school admission. Eligible students demonstrating strong academic performance and aiming for a doctorate should apply now!
