Letter to Students on Spring Break

March 4, 2009

Dear Students,

Spring Break can be one of the highlights of your spring semester – but with so many options, how’s a college student to pick how to spend his or her time?  With EKU’s spring break right around the corner (March 7 – 15), most of you have already made plans, and you may be packing up the car, ready to head out of town.  Before you go, take a look at these final tips:

  • Drive safely
  • If you drink, do it responsibly
  • Relax and rejuvenate
  • Catch up on class assignments
  • Find a way to have fun while doing good for someone else
  • Come back to EKU safe and rested!

If you plan to travel outside of the Unites States, please take some time to check out the State Department’s web site (http://www.travel.state.gov/) for travel alerts and warnings.  Recent alerts include information about potential risk for U.S. citizens traveling to Bangladesh, Mexico, French West Indies and the Persian Gulf.  It pays to “know before you go”!

See you back in classes on the 16th – have fun, be safe.

Sincerely,

James F. Conneely signature
