Frequently Asked Questions

How has COVID-19 changed the visit experience?

We have made adjustments in response to COVID-19 to ensure the visit experience is safe and enjoyable for everyone. Please click here to view our policies and procedures regarding visiting campus.

How do I register for a campus visit?

It’s easy! Register here. You will receive a confirmation email upon registering.

What can I expect from a campus visit?

A typical campus visit lasts approximately 1.5 hours and includes an information session delivered by Admissions as well as a guided walking tour of campus with current students.  There is also an optional, self-guided driving route available for you to see the south side of campus!

Do I need a parking pass for my scheduled visit?

You will need a free visitor parking pass. Please visit NuPark to register for one. You will be prompted to create a username and password. You can then enter your license plate, make, and model of your vehicle.

What can I expect when I arrive for my visit?

Please refer to your confirmation and reminder emails for information on where to park and arrive for your visit. There is designated parking, as well as a designated entrance to the Welcome Center. All other entrances to the Welcome Center and the Whitlock building remain locked.

What happens if I will be late to my visit?

If arriving more than 15 minutes late please consider rescheduling your visit. The Information Session is only 30 minutes in length; arriving too late means you will be missing a lot of information about the university. If you are going to be late or have to reschedule, please call/email the Welcome Center at (859)-622-1557 or visits@eku.edu

What happens if I can’t make it to my scheduled visit?

No worries! You can reschedule by contacting the Welcome Center at (859)-622-1557 or visits@eku.edu. Additionally, we offer virtual information sessions if this is more appealing, as well as a virtual tour if you would like to “see” the campus from wherever you are!

How can I request accommodations for my visit?

If you need a wheelchair or an interpreter during your visit, please contact Chris Butcher at chris.butcher@eku.edu or you can schedule an interpreter at https://aslie.eku.edu/request. All interpreting requests must be submitted no later than 48 business hours prior to the event. All requests are processed during business hours unless there is a university closure.

What can I expect from a virtual information session?

virtual information session lasts approximately 1 hour and is delivered in real-time. The session includes general information about the university as well as admissions, financial aid and scholarships, and more. Virtual information sessions also include a live chat for participants to ask questions! Private chats are available too for more personal or detailed conversations.

How is this different from a regular campus visit?

The biggest difference is that it is virtual and does not include a guided walking tour of campus! The same information provided in a campus visit is provided in a virtual information session. For those that want to attend a virtual information, we recommend a virtual tour if you would like to “see” campus from wherever you are!

How do I register for a virtual information session?

It’s easy! Register here. You will receive a confirmation email upon registering.

How do sign on to my virtual information session?

You will receive detailed instructions sent to your email prior to your virtual information session.

Can I use my phone for my virtual information session?

We suggest you use a computer, not tablet or phone, to be able to utilize all of the features. Our virtual information sessions are mobile friendly, however! If you are on phone or tablet, we recommend a landscape or horizontal view.

What happens if I will be late to my session?

If signing on more than 15 minutes late please consider rescheduling your session. Arriving too late means you will be missing a lot of information about the university. If you are going to be late or have to reschedule, please call/email the Welcome Center at (859)-622-1557 or visits@eku.edu

What if I have a poor connection?

If you have a poor connection, it is likely that you do not have enough internet bandwidth. We recommend using a WiFi connection instead of cellular data for the best experience. If you are having connectivity issues, please let us know and we will get you the information you need.

Can other people see or hear me?

Your audio and video are disabled for the live chat. However, the chat window is visible to other attendees.

What if I don’t have internet or cellular service?

We want all of our experiences to be as accessible as possible. Please email Chris.Butcher@eku.edu to request an information packet or USB to be mailed to you.
