Keavy Man Wins Miller Award for Best Philosophy Thesis
Eric Noe, Keavy, who graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in May with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, is the winner of the Dr. James Robert Miller Annual Best Philosophy Thesis Award for 2015.

Agriculture Major Named President of National Delta Tau Alpha Honorary
Billy Cameron, Mt. Vernon, a junior agriculture major at Eastern Kentucky University, was recently named president of the national Delta Tau Alpha organization.
Ten students from the EKU DTA chapter, which Cameron serves as president, attended the recent national convention of Delta Tau Alpha, an honorary society for agriculture students.

Department of Communication Names Whitt 2015 Distinguished Alumnus
The Eastern Kentucky University Department of Communication has named Marcus C. Whitt as its 2015 Distinguished Alumnus.
Whitt earned a bachelor’s degree in speech communication and human relations from EKU in 1982 and added a master’s degree in sociology from Eastern in 1985.
Colonels "Kick Butt" during Annual Event
Approximately 20 faculty and staff members spent a recent lunch hour cleaning cigarette butts from campus grounds during the Colonels Kick Butt Team's annual "Butt Pick-Up” event. Participants gathered 6.6 pounds of butts in just one hour, well below the 15 pounds collected during the first such event in 2014.
