The Kentucky CAP Grant is gift assistance which generally does not have to be repaid.
You must:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list Eastern Kentucky University on the application as a school choice (001963).
- Demonstrate need as determined by the FAFSA.
- Be a Kentucky resident.
- Be enrolled for at least 6 hours.
You cannot be enrolled in a program which leads to a degree in theology, divinity or religious education. CAP grants will not pay for correspondence classes.
For a regular fall/spring term, CAP Grant amounts will be adjusted based on enrollment level until the end of the drop/add period for each term.
KHEAA will notify you of your eligibility for a CAP grant.
