2. Application Fee

3. Official Entrance Examination Scores
Please refer to graduate programs on the Academic Programs website to determine which exam, if any, is required for your program course of study. Only official examination scores, sent directly from the testing center, may be used to grant clear admission. Copies of examination scores are not acceptable.

4. Official Transcripts
Official transcripts must bear the seal and signature of the registrar of the sending institution and come directly from the institution or be issued to the student by the sending institution in a sealed envelope. Transcripts for graduates of EKU will be obtained by the Graduate School. The address for mailing transcripts for graduate admissions is:

Applicants are encouraged to contact their perspective graduate program for additional details about the statement of objectives and recommendation requirements.
5. Statement of Personal and Professional Objectives
Write a brief essay outlining your personal and professional objectives pertaining to your graduate course of study. Your statement must be sufficiently detailed so that your intended program of study can ascertain your objectives in seeking a graduate degree.
Personal and Professional Objectives Statements may be completed as part of the online application process.
6. Letters of Recommendation
If your intended program requires letters of recommendation, please check with your program course of study to determine how you should submit your letters. Some programs require the recommendation be submitted freely by the respondant while others may have a designated form- which might be found within the online application, depending on program. *Please note most all programs expect letters of recommendation to be submitted by respondent instead of applicant.
*Admission applications are only valid for one academic year. The file will be destroyed and the applicant will be required to submit a new application after this time.
Important Notice
The Clery Act Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available on the website of the EKU Police Department. This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings, or property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the Richmond, Corbin, Danville, Lancaster, Manchester, and Somerset campuses. It contains policies on crime reporting, alcohol/drug use, crime prevention, and other matters. The report also provides information regarding fire safety and statistics. You can view the latest report on the Police Department website. A paper copy is available by contacting the EKU Police at 859-622-1111.
The department also maintains a daily log of campus crimes and fires that are reported to campus and local police.
