McCane Named to KCVS Advisory Council

The KCVS Advisory Council provides guidance and subject-matter expertise to define the mission and advance the goals of the Kentucky Center for Veterans Studies. We are honored to welcome Dr. Sherry  McCane to our team.


Autumn Sherry McCaneAutumn Sherry McCane, PhD

Dr. McCane serves as the Chief of the Mental Health Service at the Lexington VA Health Care System. Prior to this position, she served as Assistant Chief of Mental Health and as Acting Clinical Coordinator for the residential PTSD and substance abuse unit. Her clinical interests include trauma, treatment of PTSD,  and working with Veteran families coping with transitional stressors. As a leader, Dr. McCane enjoys quality improvement, innovations, and developing leaders in the field. Dr. McCane is an EKU graduate (go Colonels!) and a former adjunct instructor at EKU’s Psychology Department.
