EKU Theatre to Present "The Real Inspector Hound" Nov. 12-16
Tickets are on sale for the Eastern Kentucky University Theatre production of “The Real Inspector Hound.”
Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 12, the show will run 8 p.m. nightly through Saturday, Nov. 15, with a matinee showing Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m., in Gifford Theatre in the Jane F. Campbell Building.
In this parody of a classic whodunit, two theatre critics are called in to review a production. Multiple Tony Award-winning playwright Tom Stoppard’s spoof parallels Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap.” As characters begin dying off and the lives of the critics become entwined with those of the characters, guests are treated to a play within a play where life imitates art, and the barriers between theatre and stage audience dissolve. Audiences are pulled into the drama as it explores who is, indeed, The Real Inspector Hound.
Tickets are available at the Gifford Theatre Box Office, open noon-4 p.m. on weekdays, 7-7:50 p.m. on performance nights and 1-1:50 p.m. for the Sunday matinee. Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Cash or checks payable to EKU are the only payment options.
