Shirley Baechtold to Discuss Life, Work in Live @ Your Library Event
Shirley Baechtold, retired Eastern Kentucky University English professor, author and musician, will discuss her life and work in a Live @ Your Library event at EKU on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
Baechtold is the author of two recent books. In “The Unqualified Widow: Love, Loss and Basketball,” she recounts her love and five decades with late husband, former NBA player and EKU professor and Coach Jim Baechtold, who passed away in 2011. “I’ll Be Looking at the Moon” is a novel for young adults about Maggie, a young girl coming of age in a Kentucky town during World War II.
The event, free and open to the public, will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Room 204D of John Grant Crabbe Main Library.
