"Soar to New Heights" in STEM-H Summer Camp for Gifted and Talented
Eastern Kentucky University will host its eighth annual "Soar to New Heights" STEM-H Summer Camp for Gifted and Talented students the week of June 15-19.
The camp, open to gifted and talented students entering grades 6-8, will emphasize the STEM-H disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Health.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily in EKU's state-of-the-art New Science Building and will feature courses taught by EKU graduate students and STEM-H faculty. Camp experiences will be designed to appropriately challenge and motivate gifted and talented participants.
Brochures and applications will be available by the second week of April through area elementary and middle schools or by contacting EKU's STEM-H office at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 859-622-9252. The camp is sponsored by the EKU STEM-H Institute and the University's Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
