  • Dr. Camala (“Cam”) Steele (They/She) has earned a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University. Dr. Steele takes a relational approach to therapy, using Psychodynamic and Interpersonal therapies as their foundation. In addition, she frequently incorporates interventions derived from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into work with clients. Dr. Steele specializes in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. They have experience with a wide variety of presenting concerns, such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, and existential and identity-related themes. She explores topics of culture and systems with each client through a social-justice lens, with the belief that each individual can be best supported when their unique contexts are honored. Ultimately, Dr. Steele invites clients to be collaborative in the therapeutic process, and aims to use each person’s unique values and goals as a roadmap to navigate the path forward together.
