Big E Welcome Weekend
When it comes to welcome parties, we don’t do small — we Go Big E! The annual Big E Welcome was held August 17-19, welcoming the class of #EKU22 in style.
This campus-wide celebration of nearly 2,500 new Colonels is a tradition at Eastern Kentucky University. Through several days of information sessions, games and social gatherings, students learned all about campus, started getting acclimated to college life and made the first of many new friends.
The Big E Welcome’s most popular events include Move-In Day for residential students; the Big E Class Photo at the Roy Kidd Stadium football field; the Welcome Walk, where all new students cross the Turner Gate threshold; and the Keen Johnson Extravaganza.
Relive the fun by viewing the photos from EKU photographer Amanda Cain and student photographer Carsen Bryant below.
