College of Education Scholarships

There are scholarships posted on the College of Education website.

Scottish Rite Scholarship

The Scottish Rite Foundation, a nonprofit organization, has been a generous supporter of students pursuing graduate degrees in Communication Disorders at EKU. If funds are available, the Scottish Rite Foundation will provide scholarship information and a deadline date. Applications are typically due in May. Award recipients are typically notified in June.

KSHA Scholarships

The Kentucky Speech-Language-Hearing Association invites graduate students to apply for the Steckol and Stanley Awards.

ASHFoundation Scholarships

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) invites full-time students who will be or who are currently enrolled in a graduate program in communication sciences and disorders to apply for graduate scholarships. Scholarships are available to students who are undergraduate seniors or who are currently pursuing a master’s or doctoral degrees. Learn more on their website.

WHAS Crusade for Children Scholarship

The WHAS Crusade for Children, a nonprofit organization, has also been a generous supporter of graduate students in the EKU Communication Disorders graduate program. The application opens in September of each year.   

ApraxiaKids Scholarship

Apraxia Kids offers a scholarship opportunity for 2nd year graduate students who have an interest in working with pediatric speech-sound disorders post graduation. This scholarship of $1000 is in honor of Kristin Lynn Johnson, who was a dedicated speech-language pathologist who had a passion for helping children with apraxia of speech.  More information and application can be found on their website.

EKU Graduate School

The Graduate School offers some financial assistance, including graduate school awards and graduate assistant positions.

  • Graduate School Awards. Visit their website to learn about sources of possible assistance for EKU graduate students.
  • Graduate Assistant Positions. Visit their website to find the forms and directions for applying to become a Graduate Assistant (GA). Applications for GA positions are typically due in mid-June.
