The College of Business and Technology is renamed “The College of Business” after the School of Applied Sciences and Technology along with Agriculture Department and Military Science are relocated to other colleges.

AFIS and MMIB departments merged.
Dr. Marcel Robles named Assistant Dean and Chair of the Faculty.
2018
Dr. Mike Roberson named Chair of MMIB.
2017
Dr. Lana Carnes steps down as MMIB chair and Dr. Weiling Zhuang is named interim chair.

Dean Rogow retired and Dr. Thomas Erekson was named Dean of the College of Business and Technology.
The school of business consists of two departments:
- Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems with chair Dr. Oliver Feltus.
- Management, Marketing, and International Business with chair Dr. Lana Carnes.

2011
The College was divided into two separate schools: The School of Business and The School of Applied Arts and Technology.
Management, Marketing, and Administrative Communication was renamed Management, Marketing, and International Business, forming MMIB.
2003
Business programs earned AACSB Accreditation.
1999
College of Business was merged with the College of Applied Arts and Technology to form the College of Business and Technology.
Business programs reorganized into new departments:
- Finance joined Accounting and Information systems to form AFIS with Chair Dr. Jessica Frazier.
- Management, Marketing, and Administrative Communication merged to form MMAC with Acting Chair Dr. Janna Vice until Dr. Norb Elbert was named Chair in 2001.
1998
Dean Patrick retired and Dr. Robert Rogow was named Dean of the College of Business and Technology.
Dean Rogow worked toward achieving AACSB accreditation.
1995
Information Systems was formed with Chair Dr. Virgil Brewer (1995-1997).
1986
Dr. Charles Falk named Dean of the College of Business and focused on completing the goals that were set by Dr. Alfred Patrick.
1993
Dr. Alfred Patrick returned as Dean and continued to improve the college.
1984
Dr. Alfred Patrick named Dean of the College of Business.
1982
Finance and Business Systems was formed with Chair Dr. Virgil Brewer (1982; 1989-1993).
1980
The College of Business was the fastest growing academic unit at EKU.
1974
Dr. Howard Thompson was named Dean of the College of Business. Enrollment nearly doubled from 1974-1978 using his ideas to improve the program.
1967
Master of Business Administration was offered and the first degrees were awarded in 1969.
The College of Business included:
- Accounting with Chair Dr. Claude Smith (1967-1987),
- Business Administration with Chair Dr. George Miller (1967-1968),
- Business Education and Office Administration with Chair Dr. Alfred Patrick (1967-1987),
- Economics with Chair Dr. Donald Shadoan (1967-1987).
1965
The Department of Business expanded to include 10 new faculty members along with 23 new classrooms to accommodate the growing business industry.
1964
The Department of Commerce became the Department of Business and was headed by Dr. Joseph Young.
