CAEP Accountability Measures

CAEP (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation) requires that providers document results of monitoring using four Accountability Measures. Measures are used to provide information to the public on program impact and outcomes. Performance and outcomes of EKU’s educator preparation program completers are measured and reported annually.

Title-II-Reports-(Praxis Pass Rates)

Section 207 in Title II of the Higher Education Act, as amended, requires each state receiving funding under the Act to report annually on the quality of teacher preparation in the state. The law also requires institutions to include the information in their reports in publications such as college catalogs and promotional materials sent to potential applicants, secondary school counselors, and prospective employees of an institution’s graduates.

The Title II reporting guide defines aggregate pass rates as the proportion of program completers who passed all the tests they took. Summary pass rates are defined as the proportion of program completers who passed all tests they took for their areas of specialization among those who took one or more tests in their specialization areas.
