One of the great minds of the twentieth century was mathematician Paul Erdős. He often spoke of something he called THE BOOK. After his passing in the summer of 1996, Martin Aigner and Günter M. Ziegler put many of his ideas into something they titled Proofs from THE BOOK. This talk will inform the audience about the book and offer some results contained in it.
