From disaster relief to blood drives, Eastern Kentucky University students are changing the world one project at a time. Whether serving in New Orleans or right here on campus, our service projects offer you the opportunity to make new friends, build your network, and grow as an individual. Our projects fit perfectly into a wide variety of majors, minors, and concentrations to provide offerings that fit everyone’s interests. Canteen (Food Truck) Ministry
Do you love to serve people in your community? Consider working on our mobile Canteen (feeding truck). On Saturdays, we go out in to the community and serve a hot meal to those in need. If you have a group or want to volunteer as an individual than call today to set up a time. Volunteers will need to meet at the Salvation Army at 10:30 AM that day to load up and go out to a selected community. Great service project for groups!

Soup Kitchen
Volunteers are needed to help serve hot meals for those in need in our community. Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays: set up at 9:30 AM, serve from 11-1PM.

Volunteering with the Friends of Maple Grove is a great way to expand your knowledge of the rich resources available at the cemetery, give back to your community, meet new people, and share your appreciation of Maple Grove with others.

Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continues to fight for social justice for all Americans.

Members of the community make a significant difference in the lives of hungry people. Whether it is collecting, sorting and repacking food, running special events, or conducting grassroots fund raising projects, volunteers are the daily bread of Grace Now.

Do you like hands-on activities? An opportunity to work alongside others? If you are looking to contribute your time, skills or resources, then God’s Outreach is the place for you! It takes over 100 volunteers to keep our programs running!

Hope’s Wings is always in need of volunteers to staff our after-hours hotline, provide clerical assistance, support our clients, organize fundraisers, and much more.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. As a nonpartisan body, the League takes action on issues but does not support or oppose candidates or parties. The League supports diversity, equity and inclusion in membership and programming.

The Lexington Urban League Young Professionals Chapter (LULYP) is an auxiliary of the Urban League of Lexington and the National Urban League. Through programs that range from addressing the needs of middle and high school students to community service projects that focus on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, the LULYP continues to make a significant impact in the Lexington community.
